ARt, Cats and DME
A three-part documentary on Reed Karasik, a Boston-based artist living with diabetic macular edema, a complication of type 1 diabetes. When she was first diagnosed with DME, Reed was told she’d lose her vision within a year; that turned out to be incorrect, and Reed manages her DME and has regained a sense of her artistic vision with help from her support system and rescue cats.

MS in the city
A three-part documentary on someone so cool: the owner of NYC’s beloved Fishs Eddy, Julie Gaines. Julie and I chatted before the shoot, and she was adamant: if we were going to depict MS, we were going to show it “warts and all.” It’s been on of my favorite shoots lately, thanks to the warmth and thoughtfulness of Julie and all the people in her life — and we had a really great crew for it too.

I’m excited that this series I directed and edited is finally live. (DP credit goes to the amazing Kevin Bradley.) We shot this over the summer with 3 truly cool people who talked about what it’s like to live with Crohn’s — the good, the bad, the ugly, the hopeful.
I edited this piece on the growing erasure of the word “AIDS” from orgs, conferences and public discourse.
Here's the final cut of the mini meditation I animated for HealthCentral. You can also check out the larger guide it's a part of — a super in-depth and helpful explainer on dealing with psoriatic arthritis.
Here's a video I designed/animated for Psycom Pro about the importance of mental health check-ins and finding a primary care mental health provider.
